Arc de Triomphe
The Arc de Triomphe is a momunment that was built nearly 200 years ago in 1836. It sits splendidly across Place de la Concorde
at the opposite end of the Champs-Élysées. The Arc honours the soldiers who fought for France in the French Revolution
and Napoleonic Wars.

Centre Pompidou
The Centre Pompidou sits in the 4th arrondissement of Paris. It was designed as a multicultural Centre
to bring different types of arts and literature in one place. Within the centre is IRCAM the Institute for
Research and Coordination in Acoustics/Music and the Musée National d'Art Moderne the largest museum in europe.

The Eiffel Tower is perhaps the most symbolic landmark in europe. It was built in 1889 and is one of the most visited

Louvre
The Louvre is one of the France's many museums, however it is the most visited one in the world.
The reason being is that it houses some of the most culturally important works of art ever.

Musée d'Orsay
The Musée d'Orsay is another of Paris's beautiful museums. It is situated on the bank of the Seine river
in a former railway situation built in the 19th century. Unlike the Louvre it was established more recently
in 1986 and houses works by Manet, Money, Van Gogh and Gaugain.

Notre Dame
The Notre-Dame de Paris is a structure that is close to 800 years old. It's architectural style is
French Gothic from the middle ages. In 2019 while undergoing restoration it suffered a fire which
destroyed most of its roof. However reconstruction efforts are aimed to be completed for 2024.

Palace of Versailles
The Palace of Versailles is a 500 year old Royal Palace built by King Louis XIV and visited by
5 million people annually. Within the rooms at the palace are Baroque Gallerys with over 6300
paintings. The Gardens of Versailles is a UNESCO heritage site which is also part of the residence
that covers around 800 hectares of land.
